This package includes everything you need to obtain a Security Guard License and become a security professional in New York State. Included are the 8-hour pre assignment training course, as well as all necessary fees for the fingerprints and background check for further processing by the Division of Licensing Services.
The Pre-assignment Training Course is the first step required to become a security guard in New York. All guards must complete this course before applying to the NYS Department of State for a Security Guard Registration Card.
This course offers students a general outline of the duties and responsibilities of a security guard. Essential aspects of security guard services and training are included in these courses, covering topics such as:

8-Hour Annual In-Service Training Course

This 8-hr annual training course for security guards must be completed 12 months after completing the 16-Hour On-the-Job Training Course. Licensed security guards must undergo the 8-hour annual security guard training to maintain a valid security guard registration card under New York State laws.
